-When is the pool open?
The pool is open beginning the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
The pool hours are listed at the bottom of any page on our website. Just scroll down and you'll see them. There are exceptions to our regular hours when Lynchburg City Schools are in session, on holidays, home swim meets and other occasions. Please check our calendar for special hours.
-Where is the pool located?
We are located in the Vista Acres neighborhood (off of Wards Ferry Rd.) behind the Kohl’s shopping center (120 Wade Ln., Lynchburg, VA 24502)
-How much does it cost to join Vista Acres Pool?
To join the pool, you’ll need to purchase stock which costs $100 as well as pay annual membership dues. Annual pool dues can be found here.
-What is pool stock?
Pool stock means you are a part owner of the pool.
-Can I pay online?
Yes you can! You can pay with credit card or debit card and you do not need to create a PayPal account when paying.
-Who can I list on the membership form?
You can list anyone living in your household. These people will have the same membership privileges you enjoy. Family members who do not live with you must obtain their own membership separate from yours.
-When can I begin using the pool?
As soon you have paid in full you may start using the pool.
-What do I need to do when I arrive at the pool?
Assuming you are fully paid up, just sign in at the gate and you're good to go. If you need to pay for any guests, please head up to the snack shack to pay for your guest(s) ($5 per guest per day). If you arrive outside the snack shack's normal hours, please pay a lifeguard during the next adult swim (thank you for not talking to them while they're lifeguarding). Pool guests will receive a wristband showing that they have paid. Lifeguards will use the 15 minute adult swim to walk the pool deck and check memberships.
-When is adult swim?
Every hour on the hour, all members and guests under the age of 18 will be asked to exit the pool for 15 minutes. This time allows the lifeguards to rest, check memberships and accept guest pass money. The kiddie pool remains open during this time.
-Can I bring food and drink to the pool?
Absolutely. Additionally, we have a wonderful snack shack where you can purchase snacks, drinks, candy, hamburgers, hot dogs and other yummy food.
-Can I have a tab at the snack shack?
Yes. You can load money in person or online when you register. Tabs can be for an entire family or for individuals. Please note that any money left on a tab at the end of the season will revert to the pool.
-Can I bring swim toys (floaties, noodles, etc.) to the pool?
-Is there a way I can come and try the pool before I join?
Each year we have a free weekend where members can bring guests to try out the pool (visit our calendar for the date). If you do not know a member, please contact us and we’ll arrange it so you can come.
-How much do guest passes cost?
Guest passes are $5 per person per day. Children age 2 and under do not need a guest pass. If you plan to use several guest passes throughout the summer, you may want to consider purchasing a sheet of 5 guest passes for $20. Guest passes can be purchased at the snack shack.
-Do I have to pay for out of town guests?
If you have out of town guests (from 50+ miles away), they may accompany you to the pool at no charge.
